small note: my comment was removed by admins as an automated thing, no idea if I was report-bombed or not. I also received a warning.

I sent a plea and it was restored, and the warning removed.

Honestly I have the feeling there are so many untold stories about subreddit moderators... It's really opaque. If you get banned etc nobody can really see it because it's hidden, so you never have any possibility to see if a ban is justified or not, it's like a secret court.

I wish the moderation history, like bans, comment removals etc were public. It would be hilarious.

And reddit admins explicitly tell moderators they cannot allow criticism of other subreddit moderators, which reinforce this bubble problem. If you get banned in one sub, you LITERALLY cannot talk about it on reddit, it's really insane, it's really shady, that stuff only happens in dictatorships.

I'm a game developer and I'm ashamed by this.

When chip production will halt because of the climate, you will see programmers optimizing their code again.

Jeez I hope this economy crashes.

I wonder if previous twitter execs are feeling a bit bad to have sold him twitter to see it destroyed like that.

I mean it certainly proves Elon is an idiot as he used fraud to manipulate the price and got played instead.

But was it worth it to let him destroy Twitter just because he tried to defraud it?

Come live in France.

You get a little bit of welfare, enough for rent and food. Highly recommended.

Even if they do that, some people will just create illegal website mirrors that remove ads.

On reddit, people already copy paste articles when there's a paywall. I can totally envision that thing to be more common.

I am not fucking kidding, I will stop using websites if I cannot block ads. This is non negotiable. I don't care about your business model, I have zero money to give you. I tried the official reddit app, and uninstalled within a week.

Those websites are highly capitalistic and never brought any innovation, all technologies related to the internet were researched by public money.

Look into patent trolls. Patents are bad, publicly funded research is always better, but it doesn't prevent people from spending money to do research, but it doesn't entitle them for the profits.

I'm not advocating FOR communism, I'm just trying to dispel myths.

Socialism is soluble with capitalism.
