Conservatism is the foundation of fascism.
I see no issues with the people in power taking away the tools needed to prevent them from abusing power. That doesn't sound like an abuse of power in and of itself whatsoever. Who knew that conservatives are so sneaky?

Italian senators are to debate plans by the far-right government to decriminalise abuse of office, a decision that has sparked tension with the EU and raised fears over the potential for mafia infiltration in the public sector.
