You laugh, but I ordered an $800 watch for a friend. USPS lost it. Not just lost it but lost it so hard that the tracking number - which showed "delayed in transit" 6 days ago - isn't even in their system anymore. Gone. MFers.

They gave it to the bomb squad. Something about a mysterious ticking.

[-] Thteven@lemmy.world 21 points 9 months ago

Fuckin hell I was literally just checking on mine lmao

[-] nul@programming.dev 7 points 9 months ago

And I'll be damned if anyone's going to tell me to stop refreshing.

‘My package was on the other coast 15 min ago. I wonder if it’s in my city now.’

[-] henfredemars@infosec.pub 8 points 9 months ago

You joke but I've seen packages get reported to have teleported hundreds of miles within a matter of minutes according to the log.

It'll leave new Jersey any second now Aaaany second now (Package has been in new Jersey since October)

[-] bruhduh@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago

I've made refund for package lost in delivery and it was delivered to me after 6 months after refund, this happened to me more than once

[-] meekah@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

My last package just arrived like 30 minutes ago :)

[-] ivanafterall@kbin.social 6 points 9 months ago

I haven't started shopping. Is that bad?

[-] meekah@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago

No, fuck capitalism. Only gift if you feel like it.

[-] meliaesc@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

Don't make the postal workers suffer for it, shop local if you're planning on it.

[-] ivanafterall@kbin.social 1 points 9 months ago

Yes, that's what I generally do.

[-] Ultraviolet@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago

Mine is supposed to arrive within 5 hours from now but hasn't been shipped. Unless a wizard is teleporting it to my door, that sounds like bullshit to me.

"Let me just chill in this amazing airport for some weeks. It'll be fun 💖"

[-] BlackPenguins@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

It's got a beautiful view. My package deserves it after its long journey.

[-] Kusimulkku@lemm.ee 4 points 9 months ago

I feel so good having ordered last month, all presents were done at the latest 15th of this month. I'm so happy with myself since I remember the stress from previous years

[-] thisisbutaname@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 9 months ago

I've been waiting for a package since the end of November, and I checked it again just to spite you

[-] thisisbutaname@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Funny story, it reported "package reached country of destination" for days, and I was waiting for it to say something like "delivering today".

Turns out, the package was already in mailbox. Was probably there for days lol

Haha, glad you checked!

[-] jaybone@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

And I complain because they put it in front of my screen door so I can’t get out.

I need to check my privilege.

[-] XTornado@lemmy.ml 2 points 9 months ago

🤣 I was imagining somebody dropping off a fridge or something like that on your front door blocking the door completely and too heavy to move while opening the door.
