According to the article...

  • Don't heat things in plastic or drink hot liquids that have come into contact with plastic
  • Tap water is better than bottled (even glass bottles); filters will eventually "start to shed because [they] will degrade"
  • Reconsider purchasing or consuming something that uses unnecessary plastic (e.g. a watermelon wrapped in plastic, fruit with a little sticker)
  • Use natural fibres (wool instead of polyester carpets)
  • Avoid plastic flatware, etc., for children
  • Check ingredients and learn what to avoid (PFAS=bad)
  • Vacuum (hoover) regularly

perhaps buy a robot vacuum

  • Avoid traffic-heavy roads whenever possible
