the limiting factor for EVs now is not the cars themselves, but charging infrastructure. The people willing to deal with the infra as is, or able to install chargers at their homes, probably already have EVs.

not to mention a good 30-50% of the country are also culture-war brainwashed against EVs.

For me there isn't one on the market I'm interested in. Only one close is the R1T. But I refuse to pay that much for any vehicle. All the others I've looked at are weird in annoying ways. I'm hoping the EV GTI coming in 2026 is decent.

Inside America's failed plan to subvert global economy by pumping billions of state money into pet industries in an anti-comeptitive scheme to undermine the global rules-based order

"America" doesn't have plans. It's just a bunch of senile dumbasses passing public money onto their biggest donors.

Yeah, there are no other countries pumping government money into these industries wink

Imagine thinking this stuff takes only a couple years to fully impliment, let alone start paying dividends. Hell, did Intel even fully install and test their new chiller at the Ohio fab yet? Getting shit right takes time...

And when you're Intel, those timescales are increased 10x, apparently.
