As an American, it's sad state that I have to click the article to see "which Georgia"

[-] MNByChoice@midwest.social 45 points 1 day ago

And to answer for everyone else:
It was in the country of Georgia in Europe.

[-] hashferret@lemmy.world 38 points 1 day ago

Of course. If it was our Georgia she would've been shot to death.

Along with dozens of bystanders.

By a cop who was denied a donut

That's what I assumed as an European. Fellow yuropoors, do you think of the united statsian state first when you hear about Georgia?

I assumed it was Georgia the country because I have trouble imagining a transgender model continuing to identify with Georgia the state into adulthood.

Atlanta is pretty progressive despite the state around it.

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

And Atlanta has a pretty decent trans community from what I’ve heard

[-] Neon@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Oh hey look, It wasn't the Russian agents, it was the Russian exiles!

[-] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 day ago

Would have been shot if it was the US

[-] catloaf@lemm.ee 4 points 1 day ago

I don't think there's a Tbilisi, GA in the US.

[-] gedaliyah@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Yeah, that's why I had to click. I would be unsurprised to see this from the violent anti-trans faction of the American South.
