Immediately after the attack, people were suggesting that Israeli intelligence must have had some clue this would happen, and speculated that Netanyahu's government deliberately let it go ahead as a pretext for attacking Gaza. Now it looks like they did have warning but they just screwed up.

People say that but ignore that malice does exist so that can't always be the case and In this case the dudes literally been paying hamas he's not an idiot he's just a zionist asshole.

Since it ruined his judicial reforms which he's been hyper focusing on, I don't think it's likely he knew and let it go ahead. Maybe he didn't believe the scope of it, but I don't know.
