Pokemon Go is also a "Triple A exclusive" for sure but what other games do you feel I missed?
Mobile is just such a fucking powerhouse of revenue while having so few truly good games.
Sure we have ports of old PC/Console classics like KotOR and Baldurs Gate but the majority of the revenue is from shit like clash of clans, various card games, raid shadow legends and other "merge RPGs" and gacha games. And all the best ones tend to have a much better experience on PC/Console like say Genshin Impact, PUBG and COD.
It kinda blows my mind that the revenue leader by such a massive margin only has stuff like Candy Crush and Angry Birds as their "triple A exclusives".
That said, with 3 kids I sadly spent more 2023 on Mobile games than PC games... So I'm part of the problem here, it's just so accessible when the gaming I want to do just isn't feasible due to life and work.
Ok, I can understand your concern now but I feel like you're basically saying that mail and self-hosting in general shouldn't be streamlined at all and be super complex. Because your recommendation puts a lot of the security burden on the end user building their setup of various best-of-breed solutions. You would then yourself have to ensure all inter solution communication is secure as well as deploy every solution securely. Whereas with a all-in-one it's generally on the Developers and the larger FOSS community to ensure the package is secure internally and the end user is only responsible for the deployment (i.e. that they follow the instructions and have reasonable security on the server they deploy to). Theoretically if an end user is very bad at security then your recommendation doesn't end up with a more secure solution over all, it would be just as easy to compromise as the all in one, if not easier.
Another user pointed out that there is no webmail built in so all that is contained is stuff that would need to be on the edge, i.e. SMTP and I/JMAP. Those services need direct port communication to the internet. As for the true backend stuff it's not part of the setup since you need to provide your own storage backend and authentication backend. So I don't understand your concern, could you elaborate what they do wrong in your mind?
Cool, I'd be compelled to try but I think I'd need a guide on how to replace my current mail server with this one with as little fuzz as possible. Since I already have DKIM, DMARC, SPF, DANE and MTA-STS setup I'd need some help in sorting out what steps I have to take to make sure the switch is seemless to any sender.
Further I can't really seem to get a good grasp on if there's a webmail client or not?
That AI Star Wars poster is something else 😂
Very strange sounding from that article, are there any long form breakdown of the how and why they're charged with murder?
It's funny how those fans are a decent percentage of the whole build. They'll last a life time of builds though so well worth it imo.
That was the funniest shit I've read this year!
You worry about uncertainty. There is no uncertainty in this flow chart. Worrying about things that are defined and known is not healthy, but that's not to say that stable people never worry about things they know the solution to or never worry even though there aren't any real problems. The distinction really is if you're able to make yourself stop worry or not, in a healthy way, or if worry consumes you to the point of anxiety.
FLAC is going strong I'd say. MP3s are a different matter where you can only find the most popular stuff and some incredible niche stuff. The coverage is piss poor. Further I'd say it's equally YouTube that killed music piracy (in the scene sense). Anyone can just run a YouTube downloader and find just about any song they're interested in. And if you think they quality of that sucks then you can find most of the lossless stuff in scene releases.
... In what world is an ID3 or 4 an SUV? They're the aforementioned CUVs I was bitching avout. And further why in the fuck are they so expensive? Where is an electric VW Polo for a pricetag the average family can actually afford? Say €30k ish. Not €45-60k
BYD as an example sell the Dolphin, a hatchback of the body type and size most sold in recent years in Europe, for €30k and a normal sized SUV (Atto 3) for €50k. And I'm very confident that they print money at those prices in Europe, but they can charge that because there is very little competition at anywhere near those price points and also even few actual models that are similar in body size while being BEVs
