Changing the url to sh.reddit.com lets you get around it. Been using that when I've needed to look up a reddit thread at work.

The term you're looking for is cisgender. Trans = "on the other side of", cis = "on this side of"

We can clown on the dude without using that kind of language in a demeaning way.

Is that what happened? I occasionally check reddit at work since it's unfortunately still one of the better places for actual answers to things, and in the last few days I've needed to use old.reddit.com to get around getting blocked. VPN block explains a lot.
