You do not know what you're talking about. The $50 no name soundbar from Walmart might not be an improvement but soundbars from Sonos (and others) are MAJOR upgrades.

A surround sound system will likely sound better (again not the $100 combo pack from Walmart) but requires placing speakers in the proper places...which most people do not even do

You just give a shit about letting everyone know that you don't give a shit that you don't know him at least

Thanks, saving that to read later!

I've heard this argument before and it doesn't make sense to me. Memes include words and people generally don't express nuanced ideas through memes. They're all about saying as little as possible using a slightly altered version of a scripted scene. It's a devolution in language, not an extension of it. And it's a cancerous one - you get more attention online if you appeal to the lowest common denominator by using a meme template so why think on the subject any further beyond that on? Hell, why even make something yourself when you can copy and paste it from your favorite meme bucket (Instagram, reddit, etc)

My theory is that memes made the internet worse but nobody wants to talk about. If I were getting my masters in behavioral science, I would be studying the impact of memes on Internet culture.

They found the files from a 2003 alpha build of Palworld with a text document listing all the Pal designs to steal

Common typo. They meant "rectoralize"

No but having misinterpreted your message once myself and then seeing the replies, I was just letting you know.

I think when people read "this site" in the comments, they assume it refers to the link itself. So while the rest of your comment makes it clear, you try to connect it to the (incorrect) assumption. Like 404media isn't a very pretty site so I can see why someone might insult the aesthetics?

I don't know, I wasn't picking a fight or anything

You are almost definitely getting downvoted because it sounds like you're saying 404media is not legit. I realize that you're not, but I'll admit I interpreted it incorrectly at first.

Seems like you've experienced all the reasons I've never considered getting one despite thinking it's a really cool product lol

I get a new phone every couple of years and aside from the battery, I seriously doubt I'd ever upgrade a module in the fairphone. I would just choose the best parts when I bought it initially and use it as-is until it was toast.

Laptops, on the other hand....if I ever need to buy one, it'll be a Framework.

I don't browse reddit anymore but when searching for solutions to various problems, many times I end up on a reddit thread with the answers. I haven't posted or commented since the exodus but I almost always have a red notification icon. And every time curiosity gets the better of me and I click it, it's a reply to a comment I left years ago.

I usually mark it as read and ignore it but last night curiosity got the better of me and I looked at the user's profile....lots of comments, all on ancient posts.

If they're bots, I'm actually kind of impressed. They'd be good and relevant comments if they were posted when the thread was active. I searched for some of the unique replies and the only result was the comment in question so it's not just copying replies. I just checked again while posting this and have a new reply - a question about a game tip I posted.

So is it someone farming 1 comment at a time or a sophisticated LLM? I'm leaning the latter but like I said.... it's an impressive one. If I didn't know that reddit was full of bots, I wouldn't have even questioned it.

Anyone else have the same "issue"?

I'm not sure if this counts as a "patient gamer" because I played them to death years ago...but I've been playing both again recently and they're just perfect little games with a ton of replayability. They're not retro (FTL 2012, ITB 2018) but they're old enough to regularly go on sale which is great!

Highly recommended if you like roguelite strategy games.

If you have any similar games to suggest, please leave a comment. I'm sure there's tons of great strategy games I've missed over the years

They're at the right price for an impulse buy but it'll be another month or two before I move so I don't have HA set up. I know other IKEA zigbee stuff works fine, but will these new ones?

My car got stolen 2 months ago - yep, a Hyundai - and was recovered with the obvious damage to the steering column. I took it in for repair and that security upgrade (I didn't know about it before) but between not returning and calls and trying to charge me $680 to repair the airbag spring THEY broke, they've miserable to deal with.

I got my car back last week and everything seemed fine but I didn't think to check my remote start... and last night I learned that it now set off my alarm.

I had it installed at the dealership when I bought it in 2019 but they didn't offer a Hyundai remote start as a package option so they put in a Viper system. I called them today and was told that third party starters were not their problem to fix.

I've left a message with my insurance agent because (weirdly) he's the only person involved I trust anymore and looking for answers online leads me to believe Hyundai will NOT fix it. I didn't see any success stories.

So I'm here to ask: How can I get Hyundai to do something about this? Do I have any recourse here legally? Or is this something I, a tech-savvy but not car-savvy guy could fix himself?
