Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT fuck the anthropomorphized plane.

Noooo wayyyyy, I thought he was a corrupt nazi who was stealing the Ukrainian people's resources and had to be stopped??????????¿‽?

Modern "libertarianism" has been fully corrupted by both corporations (to mean "liberty from any and all government regulations") and by the racist shithole fascists (to mean "my liberty to commit hate crimes and no liberty for everyone else"). It sucks because I mostly agree with the tagline, but people like Friedman are far too altruistic about how well corporations can operate without some level of government oversight to keep them actually accountable to the individuals that libertarianism is supposed to uphold.

Also, this is a PSA that you should sharpen your shovel. Makes digging way easier.

A shovel with the sides of it sharpened via angle grinder works wonders for chopping tall weeds too. Swing that mf like a baseball bat.

Elemental silver SD card casing for maximum thermal transfer, when????

Yes, stainless is "bad", compared to other metals. But like you also mentioned, it's loads better than plastic.

I'd doubt they make an aluminum one, it's probably not worth the tooling.

When dealing with only 100-200mW, even a small change in thermal conductivity will make a big difference.

Unironically a good idea. I can see these really helping to increase the chances of memory survival in camera applications where the camera has a high chance of being physically destroyed. Also a metal body reallllly helps conduct heat out of the flash, which will increase their lifespan in continuous-write applications.

...$200 is way too low for what most people spend on that stuff.

oh, I unfortunately know that every one of those poor bozos would happily do it. It's really sad that so many people got duped by this whole flow of bullshit

heavens, forgive me for intruding upon your intellectual turf 🙇

i'd think at this point it's been proven that any resource, small or large, can and will be compromised. Proton so far has had a better track record than many.

Stratasys is losing ground because their massively overpriced ecosystem is getting outclassed by literally everything else in the market. So why improve if you can just sue your competition out of the US market?

I've been doing functional ABS and ASA lately and had a couple very annoying warpage spots. One was a total failure. (We won't talk about the other 3 failures that were wet out-of-the-box Bambu ASA...)

The X1C is definitely nice, but the all aluminum-and-glass side panelling has a sometimes-unwanted side effect: thermal conduction.
The aluminum sides are so conductive that they do not allow the chamber temp to go above 40C, even after a couple hours of heat soaking the build plate at 100C before starting an ABS print.
Enter: One random bath towel. doesn't look like much but just covering the three sides with a thin layer means it's good enough insulation to get the chamber up to 50C now! And the ABS parts look better than ever- every C counts.

Raspberry Pi launches its IPO (www.raspberrypi.com)

It was nice knowing Raspberry Pi while they lasted. Going to suck losing something that has changed the homegrown embedded system hobby forever.

As I'm graduating college in a few weeks, I'll be losing access to my university's free printers and filament. I'm going to build up a home lab with a couple printers where I can make goofy little mechanical projects as well as some components for my cars and stuff.

Who's your go-to for PLA and ABS/ASA filaments? Those will be my primary print jobs in any serious volume. I know our college's club has had hella problems with random chinese brand filaments not printing consistently but I also don't want to spend $30+ per kg for something like Prusament.

If that's not the textbook image of rats leaving a sinking ship, I don't know what is. "Fuck you. Got mine!"

The price pump that conveniently happened immediately after release sure was nice for Pig Boy Huffman, wasn't it.

Data on short positions become available tomorrow (April 9th) as referenced in this article so the roller coaster is only just getting started. It's gonna get wild once the market realizes what a house of cards Reddit is built on.
