I'd rather Lemmy burn to the ground than become famous, seriously watching AND experiencing twitter, reddit, Facebook, MySpace, my-yearbook, and (does Skype count?). I would like to make Lemmy my forever social media. Only time will tell if it lasts though.

Careful, you don't want to be labeled 'the vegan catfood guy' Seriously it was difficult to explain to my fiance how I became 'the guy who doesn't know how to flush a toilet'

What if you feed vegans to vegans? I mean, if you take 'you are what you eat literally...

While I agree with absolutely everything in the article, Twitter was already quite bad before Musk, at least for the end user.

The platform excels at letting people shout into an echo chamber, and is easily falling into opinion pits. The fall of Twitter was an inevitability frankly, Musk merely sped things up.

Honestly, I think the idea of echo chamber style social media is slowly on the way out, they have way too much bad PR for way too long to be sustainable anymore, or maybe that's me being positive.

Either way, social media will be changing, for better or worse within the next few years.

Well sure, but it was all a shit-post comment not actually meant to be taken seriously. I chose a snake for that very reason. Though your comment gave me a ton to think about and was well thought out! Bravo!

I believe cats can't properly digest the plants right? Probably kills them slowly.

I guess vegan cat owners are doing their Job and eradicating meat eaters from the world. /s

But for real, crazy that some did that to their pets.

For no particular reason I'm heading to new York with my van of 1000 snakes.

Let's go to the extremes here: let's say I'm a vegan, and love snakes and want my snake to not eat live mouse, do you think I can feed the snake vegan snake food?

This is all hypothetical as I dislike snakes and love bacon.

I played the crap out of AA Proving grounds. Was a ton of fun! Had a bunch of shit "join the army" bs in it, which I doubt worked on anyone with a few brain cells, but the game was great.

Hey, recently decided to branch out and try holoiso. As a big fan of my steam deck, I really want to try this out.

I flashed the img onto a flash drive, and everything seemed fine, had a few issues installing it, it would fail seemingly randomly. But retrying it would succeed, there was never any fail code or anything.

After installing ot, it fails to boot. Secure boot is off, uefi is on, everything is saying it should work.

All that being said, I'm very new to arch Linux and the many variations, so I may have missed something simple. I can provide further details upon request, since I'm sure I missed stuff.

Good.

Also first post. Go team Lemmy.
