I picked up photography back in May which just started by getting an old point and shoot digicam to take convincing liminal space photos, then I got another..... then another.... then some film old cameras, a cheap DSLR a set of lens, etc. Etc. It's become a full on addiction at this point lol

I used to lurk like crazy on reddit. I had a nearly 12 year old account that mainly had a few comments here and there months apart, and only a few posts but ever since moving to Lemmy I've found myself actually posting relatively frequently to help build some of the smaller communities I'm in that have also migrated.

Oh wow, had no clue Lemmy had that layout as a feature as well, that might actually get a couple converts out of my friend group.

I haven't deleted my account just yet but I joined reddit 12 years ago this month, once RIF went under om the 1st I stopped visiting the site altogether. I have friends that still regularly use the site, mainly through old.reddit whom I've told about Lemmy but just aren't quite ready to switch over and that's their choice, due to the amount of content still on the site I can't necessarily blame them, but I just can't in good conscience give reddit the traffic now that they've gone full twitter in their corporate decision making.
