Hello! I just came across Presearch, and it looks very interesting to me. If I understand correctly, at the moment it's just another metasearch engine, but they say they're planning to add their own index. How would a distributed search engine index work? Opinions on this?

I dunno, when I see "powered by blockchain", I just wait for the cryptocurrency shoe to drop. It's a huge red flag.

they do have their PRE token: for users (per search), for node operators (as reward), and for advertisers (to stake words).

crypto aside, the results are decent and different, but still quite similar to what google would give you. personally, an option with consistently better results has been Kagi.

though if Presearch soon implements their own index, i might take that back...

Looks like a inferior version to yacy with ads and blockchain garbage.

I think is made by samsung and is sponsored my huge companies better to use Google Than this
