On one hand, I trust Netanyahu as far as I can throw him.

On the other hand, I trust Hamas as far as I can throw them.

Palestinian doctors were quoted as saying Israel dropped off a 200L fuel container on the street near the hospital. The hospital needs 20,000L to operate the critical sections, so they said that this gesture was useless, AND it was dropped off in an area of fighting where staff weren’t able to pick up up anyway.

What a silly talking point that crumbles as soon as you examine it. Of course it’s Netanyahu trying to push propaganda.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Nov 12 (Reuters) - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel had offered fuel to Gaza's Al Shifa hospital, which suspended operations after running out of fuel, but that the militants had refused to receive it.

Netanyahu was asked by NBC News whether Israeli allegations that Hamas had a command post under Gaza's main hospital justified jeopardizing the lives of sick people and babies.

Israel's military said it was ready to evacuate babies from Al Shifa on Sunday, but Palestinian officials said people inside were still trapped, with three newborns dead and dozens at risk from a power outage.

Netanyahu was asked if Israel has a plan to get fuel into Gaza to power hospitals.

"We just offered Shifa hospital the fuel, they refused it," Netanyahu said.

Hamas denies Israeli allegations it has command posts under Shifa and other Gaza hospitals.

Well, now that they're in, when they get to the hospital and fuel it up for everyone to see, if that's what they want.

That’s definitely not what Hamas wants. Hamas NEEDS the Palestinians to suffer since this damages Israel’s reputation.

And no, most don’t lose a night’s sleep over it, because these people are considered martyrs after all.

Yes, a great reputation of love 😍 and peace 🕊️ :

The Irgun ( 1931 - 1948 )

  • The organization committed acts of terrorism against the British, whom it regarded as illegal occupiers, and against Arabs.
  • Albert Einstein, in a letter to The New York Times in 1948, compared Irgun and its successor Herut party to "Nazi and Fascist parties" and described it as a "terrorist, right wing, chauvinist organization".
  • Irgun's tactics appealed to many Jews who believed that any action taken in the cause of the creation of a Jewish state was justified, including terrorism.
  • Irgun members were absorbed into the Israel Defense Forces at the start of the 1948 Arab–Israeli war.
  • The Irgun was a political predecessor to Israel's right-wing Herut (or "Freedom") party, which led to today's Likud party. Likud has led or been part of most Israeli governments since 1977.

What a great reputation.

Can I ask where you found such relevant information?

Not sarcasm. Thanks. I should have looked myself.

Hamas hasn't actively denied aid... well, ever AFAIK. Such an outrageous claim needs context and evidence.

[-] ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works -5 points 11 months ago

I'll believe this when it's confirmed by the Hamas Ministry of Health
