Just seen this really really enjoyed it.

Some human designs were a bit strange but I can see what they were going for.

Sound design beyond licensed music was astounding. Didn't realise that it was Trent Reznor till the credits which makes complete sense.

Loved the sketchy artstyle and the look it gave in motion especially during the action sequences.

I was never that much of a turtles fan growing up but this made me appreciate it. I'll be eagerly awaiting the sequel.

I recently saw the new TMNT movie and I have to say I really liked it a lot. I didn't grow up with the TMNT, so it's hard for me to say how accurate it is to the originals, but I thought the animation was phenomenal and the story itself was very solid too.

I've seen a lot of people praising the animation, so I'm not going to include too much detail on why I liked it (to avoid retreading too much ground), but I really liked how grounded and relatable everyone's motivations were. Wanting to fit in and be a part of a community is such a quintessential human experience; and lashing out from fear of rejection is extremely relatable as well.

The humor seems aimed pretty solidly at millennials (based on the references made throughout the movie), and I was surprised how adult this kids' movie was.

Overall, I greatly enjoyed this movie; and after Barbenheimer last week, it's been a good week for movies for me

I think it would be better if we waited for these discussion posts to hit just as the movie releases. By the time it comes out this post will be over a week old.

Maybe if it’s something really big we could have prerelease discussion and then the released discussion.

I saw it. Overall I liked it. I've been a turtles fan my entire life. It felt like a bunch of turtles fans said let's make the turtles and lets make them 2023. Of course they changed some stuff but I can't really clutch my pearls because it's very clear they love the franchise.

Overall loved the animation, soundtrack, and Ice Cube. I laughed quite a bit in the theater watching this. Solid 7/10 movie and I can see a lot of kids thinking these turtles are as cool as I thought the 80's turtles were.

One of the freshest stories with the Turtles that I've seen in a long time. The way they wrote these characters was great with an absolute huge amount of potential for the future. They could go in any directions with this as a franchise and, with how beautiful the art style is, I'm all for it. I was impressed to see the talent casted for the film as well. If you're interested in this then do yourself a favor and watch it in theaters so you can really appreciate the art.

I'm not a fan of the Turtles but I do like them. I went to see this because my youngest had obviously got wind of it on YouTube and something about it grabbed him.

For a bit of perspective, I enjoyed the 90s cartoon, the first live action film (I love the animatronics) and the CGI film TMNT.

Mutant Mayhem was a brilliant film, even if your not a die hard fan. I love the colourful art style as well which was so fresh and different from anything else. It's probably going to be a 4K release for me, that art needs to be appreciated.

The story went in a direction I wasn't expecting and I loved Jackie Chan as Splinter. His fight scene involving an office chair was very Chan in style.

Of course there's a mid credit tease and considering they were a character I was expecting to see all through the film, I hope we get a sequel.

I really enjoyed it, the random pop culture references didn't really feel natural to me, but you could say it makes sense in the context of the characters. Definitely excited to see where the sequel goes.

Eagerly awaiting the early showing on 7/31. This looks like a blast and seeing so many positive reviews already is awesome.
