Option? More like a chance to opt out. Option means users get to choose to opt in.
This type of thing shouldn't be legal. I just learned of LinkedIn doing the same thing with user content and an "opt out" setting, and I immediately toggled it off. FFS someone regulate these idiots

Wait, I never used snapchat, so I could be totally off base, but don’t Snapchat messages get automatically deleted? Isn’t that the whole point? Haven’t they already been caught deceiving users into thinking their deleted photos are actually gone? This just seems so gross.
Nothing is truly deleted. You will still get sent "memories" of things you sent/shared in the past.

I can't read this without subscribing, and I have no idea how to opt out.
I also couldn't find it when I just scoured the app's settings on my phone. I haven't setup the "My selfie" feature though so that may be why
