Russian President Vladimir Putin will be notably absent when Chinese President Xi Jinping and other leaders from the BRICS group of emerging economies start a three-day summit in South Africa on Tuesday.

South Africa isn't an emerging economy either. It's also submerging. Rolling blackouts, failing infrastructure, unemployment north of 30% (officially, unofficially it's probably closer to 60) and rising. It's a failed state, it just doesn't know it yet.

Oh, we know it, and the ones that can are leaving the sinking ship. I really miss it tho, it'll always be home. One of the most beautiful countries with amazing people destroyed by greed and corruption.
