ELI5: How does Lemmy know to not show Mastodon posts?
(lemmy.world)
A community to talk about the Fediverse and all it's related services using ActivityPub (Mastodon, Lemmy, KBin, etc).

I’d like to know this too. Should I be posting content to Mastodon to increase the visibility of my communities or can they just see it from here?
When I checked Mastodon I could see communities but none of the posts.
A Mastodon user can subscribe to a Lemmy Community in the same way they can Follow a Mastodon user e.g.
So they could now post to that Community and see every direct reply to that post and reply to those replies but they can't currently just stumble across Lemmy Communities in their federated timeline because Lemmy can't do that yet.
So it could be worth reposting content from my communities to Mastodon to help grow the communities?
Totally your call :)
