Which content are you considering extremist? If it is the communist content that is anti capitalistic people, you are seeing more of that because the lemm.ee is federated with a pro communism anti capitalism instance with a good amount of active users. Lemmy.world got hate for blocking instances like that but i'm hoping that it slowly causes this instance to move away from so many posts being political and economic discussions to content focused on other topics.

Sidenote: instances/threads like thegarden.land which I went to add was listed as 96 active users. Awesome! I thought, only to see they are shutting it down because the attacks made recently in .world. Whomever posted child sexual assault material in an attempt to get them to shut down deserves an extremist judge.
