It's crazy what's been going on there, is there a regional power nearby that could step in and protect the civilians?

The UN were in there trying to broker peace talks but basically a couple of days after the UN announced that both sides had agreed to the talks, the Sudanese government announced that it was kicking the UN out of Sudan.
