I've posted the link to the Github project so people can avoid it

This is called the "RedHat CentOS" strategy

Please go through the FAQ section of the git project. It's an eye-opener.

Q. Does this enable mass data breaches of website?

A. Yes. The next time you see a major data breach where customer data is clearly visible in the breach, you’re going to presume company who processes the data are at fault, right? But if people have used a Windows device with Recall to access the service/app/whatever, hackers can see everything and assemble data dumps without the company who runs the service even being aware. The data is already consistently structured in the Recall database for attackers. So prepare for AI powered super breaches. Currently credential marketplaces exist where you can buy stolen passwords — soon, you will be able to buy stolen customer data from insurance companies etc as the entire code to do this has been preinstalled and enabled on Windows by Microsoft.

if you just need the damn thing to work you don’t want to mess with Linux. It doesn’t “just work”.

I think immutable distros for business will perfectly fit this niche.

Roblox devs are extremely hostile towards Linux.

I was hoping for a Steam Created distribution to come out

Try Bazzite. It's not from Valve but it's the next best thing.

I personally think the key issues still holding Linux back are

  • Not installed on PCs on standard brick-and-mortar shops
  • Microsoft's tight grip on enterprises and businesses
  • Non availability of industry standard applications
  • Availability of choice, which creates choice paralysis for the user

I don't agree that there are no problems on Windows. There are different types of problems but users are so accustomed to them, they will go through more hoops to solve them, when it's trivial on Linux. We have to introduce Linux much early to users to create familiarity.

Kenobi: I deadass thought you be balancing the force and stuff. Instead you went full Ohio 💀💀

As a Gen X'er, does this look correct?

Oh, you mean this rule allows Trump to walk out of jail? I must tell others.

True, true. This is off-topic.

But I remember that for a certain scenario (I don't remember exactly), my work app requested me download Intune, without which the app refused to start/update.
