Anybody got that Steve Huffman pig boy meme handy?

I think the ideal solution is to leave. But you don’t have to fight to get to super competitive places. There are a lot of other countries out there with easier immigration policies, including developed western countries. Instead of obvious places like the US, UK, etc - have you considered less visited but developed countries like Argentina, Uruguay, Hungary, Latvia, whatever? These are likely a lot easier to immigrate to.

I didn’t mean for gaming specifically, probably should have used a transition statement. For creative and professional use cases, macOS is still far far better than Windows. For gaming yeah that’s not your platform, Linux is.

Windows 11 is a strong motivator. I suspect like many other people, the only reason I was keeping Windows around was gaming. But thanks to Proton and the Steam Deck, the number of games in my library that won’t run on Linux is vanishingly small. I deleted my Windows partition a few months ago and haven’t looked back.

Install Linux or buy a Mac, fuck Windows.

Yea, I was a manager at multiple jobs and wasn’t allowed to give interview feedback for this reason, they were afraid anything I said would be fuel for a wrongful rejection lawsuit.

Well, that depends. If it’s a board of puppets to continue Israeli rule, then no. If it’s a decently representative cross section of Palestinians who have a mandate to transition to independent statehood and democratic rule, then yes. But I really doubt it’ll be the second one.

Take your civilised attitude and get out of here!

Those tankies are just as bad as the idiots on far right social sites. There are extremists on both sides and neither deserves to be taken seriously.

And in case people from fringe Lemmies of either side decide to tell me off, our instance defederated you lot so I can’t hear you.

We need to get rid of the single member veto at this point, it’s been abused. Maybe replace unanimous votes with like, 80%.

Apple is introducing a lot of user space frameworks to replace much of the kext level functionality though.

It tell us quite a lot actually; the native PlayStation game was running on a POSIX system, on x86(-64), and Vulkan/OpenGL. Ergo, it took extra work to port the game to Windows, when the original title ran on something very close to a Linux desktop.

This is especially egregious when you remember the PS4 and PS5 operating system are themselves based on FreeBSD, meaning the original game was natively targeting a Unix-like OS to begin with. So to then say it won’t run on Linux is a huge middle finger.
