I just published evil-helix-bin to the AUR, for those of you who Use Arch Btw. :)

Hmm, helium would‘ve been amazing, but that‘d be an SEO nightmare. My wife told me „velimix“ sounds like a kitchen appliance. Not sure if that’s a good thing haha…

Cool! Let me know should you find anything missing. :)

Some of you may have come across Helix - a very fast editor/IDE. Unfortunately, Helix has its own set of keybindings, modeled after Kakoune.

This was the one problem holding me back from using this excellent editor, so I soft-forked the peoject to add Vim keybindings. Now, two years later, I realize this might interest others as well, so here we go:

I‘d be happy to polish the fork - which I carefully keep up-to-date with Helix‘s master branch for now. So let me know what you think!

And yes, I‘m also looking for a more original name.

You‘re both right! Thanks for pointing that out, edited post for correctness.

Takoyaki - たこ焼き (programming.dev)

Takoyaki (たこ焼き, lit. „grilled octopus“) are a popular kind of street food which you come across around nearly every corner in large Japanese cities, especially in the Kansai region (Ōsaka, Kyōto, …).

These came from the Tenjinbashi-suji in Ōsaka.

Edit: correct translation

The result looks impressive for a first time! I find it hard to get the right balance of tastes.

I think my favourite one is in a little restaurant in Gion, Kyōto, where it is prepared in front of me on the teppan (鉄板) by the chef before being enjoyed piece by piece. You really eat it with all your senses, I love it.
