One area where that is the case is the clamping mechanism. With USB-C, the moving parts/springs, which are the part of a connector that is most prone to failute are in the cable, which is both easier and significantly cheaper to replace than the charging port/device.

Have personally been using KDE Wayland on EndeavourOS for a while, and It's been free of major bugs save for some games going to a black screen after tabbing out of them.

Its usually not something people want, but in some countries (Germany) WhatsApp is a synonym for texting. If you don't have it as a student for instance, you're practically socially ostracizing yourself. I don't want to use it at all, but you basically have to, and at that point I also want to access it on my school Laptop, which runs Pop!...

I just dont see why the hell you would switch? dd/mm works fibe in all situations and has some advantages sometimes, while mm/dd is fine sometimes, but generally worse or equal.

I am going to assume you want to know what a fork is. if not, ignore me.

If the sourcecode of a software is publicly available, someone can take that sourcecode and develop it into a different direction than the original software. In this case, a third-partt reddit app called Infinity is being developed into a Lemmy app by someone who is not the original dev.
