I generalize millennials as too young to legally drink in the US (21) but old enough to remember the millennium. It's not completely accurate though.

Firm disagree. Social media, or more specifically algorithmic short form content these days, is extremely damaging. It's different from anything that's come before and has nothing to do with connecting with your peers.

I graduated high-school in 2009 so I saw the beginning of popularized social media. Very few gained anything from participating in it. Mostly people who were good at marketing and building a following benefited.

Mostly agree, I hate Samsung in general (sent from Samsung Galaxy S22). Anytime I see someone considering their appliances or TVs I try to turn them to something else. They have made the best batteries for a long time though. I hope a competitor rises to squish them a bit.

Don't buy a sumsung washer. I only buy used washers and dryers because I'm cheap and handy. Samsung is not an option because a large part of the user market is broken in a way that costs the same as buying new.

I do sort of disagree with your QA comment. Everyone seems to think QA stops once you sell a product, but it doesn't. They did a full recall to fix their quality mistake. It'd be like if Tesla finally recalled all of the cybertrucks for sucking as much as they do. Massive PR hit to attempt to maintain quality.

I only lurk on Reddit these days, but if old reddit goes away I'll be completely done with it.

Samsung was very transparent about their fuck up with the note 7. The article you linked makes it very clear it was a connection issue or a different manufacturer. At this point this is equivalent to the burn banana peels to get high or you eat dozens of spiders while you sleep internet lies.

Altria has done so much damage. Philip Morris did a damn good job hiding it's influence in the vape market.

Oh no this is probably going to be me. I never made it out of the "tutorial" area and literally just learned about it a few days ago in a different thread. I thought it was boring because the map seemed small and uninstalled it. Turns out I never really started the game.

Totally agree. My kids don't understand why services like youtube suck so much at other people's homes. My house is only FF with uBlock Origin and I'm looking at putting in a PiHole soon. It's insane how bad the internet experience has become in the last decade.

This is my family's combined income and my god people need to stop thinking we are wealthy. I'm currently staring at a $1000 car on Facebook marketplace to hopefully save some money because I know how to fix it. I am constantly buying cheap shit to afford to live, we are not rich at all. I have more in common with a homeless person than a wealthy person.

Yep. And using the page feedback button gets you off the list from what I can tell. No response from Google but removes the ad block shenanigans instantly.

I can't reproduce it either. Android Phone, win10 PC, and private browser. All Firefox and uBlock Origin.

I did previously get that "disable it or else" message twice. I just submit feedback that I'd like the link to cancelling my Google services and it goes away for a while. I wonder if just submitting feedback disables the popup because it's instantaneously fixed.

The boots I recommended are fairly squishy. But they are nothing like most running shoes these days. If you are interested in switching to boots I'd recommend going to a store that only sells boots.

Funny thing is I have the opposite problem now. Squishy shoes give me horrible joint and back pain. I think it's because the force over time is longer and more damaging. I'm not a barefoot advocate but it's everyone's own preference.
