Look, the crystal maze is absolutely essential to run Woodchips without a waterslide. You can complain all you want, but unless you want to run back to Microsoft for your woodchips deployment, this is the way. I'm not saying Gumbies is perfect, here, just that it's the only viable unix implementation. If you want come up with your own sandcubing solution for Flurble, be my guest.

I bought a Pixel a because it has a headphone jack. I only cared about one thing. When mine dies, I'll buy whatever still has a headphone jack.

On Blahaj reports are the only way to express disapproval of content. So you could for example spread fascist dogwhistles about not liking politics, and if Ada doesn't understand the dogwhistle then your content doesn't get removed. That gives cryptofascists free reign

The Apple wall isn't in line with the other walls. It has the perspective of one of those paintings that got Adolf kicked out of art school

I need magic in order to feel like myself. I couldn't keep being an atheist once I started using magic.

Not OP, but for me it was realising I was dronegender. I could either be an atheist whose identity was valid but not "real" as I conceived it, or I could embrace a religion that said my identity was achievable. That said mind melding with a swarm was possible and I could be who I am in a physical sense and not just a personal one.

Also I met a god. She's nice.

Maxim Litvinov was responsible for opening those talks, and a year later, Stalin fired him for being Jewish and understandably anti-nazi.

Sounds like lesser-evilism to me. I don't really have that much of a problem with you thinking all that if you can apply the same mindset to modern politics.

A tidally locked planet does not rotate in relation to its sun. One side is always day, one, always night. This is caused by tidal forces pulling all planets towards this same equilibrium, so it's completely stable once it does occur..a tidally locked planet at an earthlike distance from the sun would be scorching heat on one side, freezing ice on the other.

What about at different distances? Is there a band of orbital distance where the night side of a tidally locked planet is warm enough for liquid water? Or one far away enough that the day side can have oceans?

Okay, so you know the Don't Say Gay bill in Florida? The one that prohibits "gender ideology" in schools?

Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.

The words "he" and "she" are gender identities. "Mister" and "Missus" are gender identities. It's illegal for a teacher in Florida to introduce themself as Mr or Mrs. It's illegal for a teacher in Florida to tell a student another child's pronouns, even inadvertently.

If a concern is not resolved by the school district, a parent may …. Bring an action against the school district to obtain a declaratory judgment that the school district procedure or practice violates this paragraph and seek injunctive relief. A court may award damages and shall award reasonable attorney fees and court costs to a parent who receives declaratory or injunctive relief.

As far as I can tell, this is exactly the kind of situation the Satanic Temple exists to help with. All it takes is one single parent in Florida to ask the Satanic Temple's help suing a school for using the words "he" and "she" in the classroom.

BOOM. Overnight, the headlines "DeSantis law forces school to use gender neutral pronouns" would appear. It would be the biggest scandal and loss of face for the Republican party in the eyes of their voters since ever.

Why hasn't this already been done?
