Oh fuck off. You didn’t imply or even suggest that anyone had Alzheimer's and you made a joke out of it. You suggested that he sent you an email instead of hitting “Allow”. That’s not something that people with Alzheimer’s do. People with Alzheimer’s have memory issues not an inability to read.

Additionally, Benevity could also have an option for donations to pro-Palestinian groups too since the only requirement for registration is that the org be a 501c3 which can be obtained by any non-profit. It’s not like Apple is choosing sides by allowing employees to donate to whichever causes they support as individuals.

I mean, he’s dead so you’ll never know if you have the same tastes as him…

I’m not sure but that’s a potential solution. You’d have to find the older APK somewhere but I feel like it should work since it’s just a Bluetooth connection to the toy.

The funny thing about this is that the first time I had that moment of realization was when I got the Sphero BB-8 toy from my kids for Christmas. It had a dedicated app. The reason it’s funny is because, out of all the things that I own, it’s the only app-driven one that still works. Sphero just merged it into their main app. Once that app stops getting updated, this toy will cease to work despite everything about it being functional. ☹️

What in the fuck are you on about?

It’s not pride in the lines drawn, it’s pride in the positive things that your community does on a national scale. That’s the point. You take the good things that you see elsewhere and you decide that you want to emulate that.

How? That statement means nothing unless you explain it.

Patriotism and nationalism has zero place in society.

Not true. Patriotism is wanting and seeking the best for your country. Because our society relies on those physical divides, patriotism would actually improve society. Nationalism is deciding that whatever your country is doing already is the best simply by virtue of self-identification. There is no desire for improvement outside of an individual perception so it, functionally, can never offer any improvement for society.

One is potentially beneficial. The other is cancerous.

Exactly this. I would 100% buy AC: Mirage if it worked on my Apple TV natively (since you can use a controller) and Ubisoft didn’t suck a big fat donkey dick. They can go to hell with their Ubisoft Connect bullshit.

Voyager. It shows actual usernames and not display names. You’re seeing my display name, not my username.

[-] dpkonofa@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

You know… I totally forgot that I set that as my display name. No offense taken, obviously. I use a third-party Lemmy client so it never shows me that. 🤷‍♂️

I just swiped accidentally from the top of the screen and uncovered an off-screen ad in Voyager. What is this and is this disclosed anywhere?

Edit: Why is this post being downvoted? This is a legitimate bug/issue. What an unwelcoming community…
