My trust was already broken. These lemmy instances come free of charge, free of ads and free of trackers, and this pig of a dev comes around and pulls out an à la spez shenanigan and everyone praises him. He should be keelhauled. And the lemmy servers should block apps that insert ads unless they share profits. I'd be happy to pay for features that add to lemmy, not for features that were taken away. Fuck sync for lemmy. There, i said it

Paying is fine, it's the SHIT TON OF THIRD PARTY TRACKERS they put in the app that worry me

Hmm, bug? I clearly remember posting this under another thread, to which my comment was relevant. Wtf?

Why is everyone in the comments saying that VALVe hates japanese visual novels?

GDPR Consent

It looked like this. It was a GDPR consent. 50 was a wild guess, i didn't count, but it looked like 50. You could either accept all or reject them onne by one, which i was not going to.

I guess it only fires up inside EU countries because of the laws. Anywhere else it's probably accepted on your behalf by default. Fuck ads.

It asked me to give consent to over 50 third parties to use my data right away. It also has ads and hiding them is locked behind a paywall. I'm sticking with Connect, which doesn't have ads and they claim they don't have trackers.

It's closed source and full of ads and spyware

It's full of ads and has more spyware than tiktok, thanks 👍

Imma stick with a privacy respecting client for now.
