I think, left to right, that's a Fiat 3000, Renault FT, Schneider CA and Fiat 2000. Expect to be wrong with the first 2 because there where quite a few similar variants

You're thinking of Russia, they didn't do well from the break up of the USSR because they were always an extractive empire. The Baltic states gained their independance and I don't think anyone can seriously claim they're worse off
