Did uptobox provide seed boxes for torrenting, or what was the service like?
FWIW this isn't always true. A few months ago, I needed to add an email to my Zelle account on Chase, and had to call them. I initiated the call and they did issue a text message verification to the phone number in my account while on the phone to confirm.
Wow TIL about the use of underscore in an interactive session.

If I told my boss I have concepts of a plan during an important call with clients, I'd be fired. The fact he said this thinking it would absolve him of having to actually outline actual policy shows how empty the campaign is on anything of substance.
I have great hopes for this meme and hope it is as influential as "binders of women" in showing the absurd thinking behind the most important job in the world.
This is kinda the plot of a Black Mirror episode, Striking Vipers.
Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but I'd say the mystery of the dead bear cub in central park 10 years ago. This was minor news back then and basically was forgotten about, until RFK Jr. (former third party presidential candidate) admitted to being the person behind it, confessing it to a confused Roseanne Barr.
Not sure the genre or trope, but Poker Face (and 6 Feet Under), the additional subgenre for me is "who's gonna die in the first scene".
What do you mean building our own systems?
The TSA press office said in a statement that this vulnerability could not be used to access a KCM checkpoint because the TSA initiates a vetting process before issuing a KCM barcode to a new member. However, a KCM barcode is not required to use KCM checkpoints, as the TSO can enter an airline employee ID manually. After we informed the TSA of this, they deleted the section of their website that mentions manually entering an employee ID, and did not respond to our correction. We have confirmed that the interface used by TSOs still allows manual input of employee IDs.
TSA: lalala i can't hear you, everything is fine, no issue here
These are probably comments on this Veritasium video which actually pretty informative.
That being said, I also live in a "first past the post" country that forces a two-party system and penalizes voting your conscience unless it aligns with one of those parties. While there may be flaws in Ranked Choice Voting that could emerge in fringe cases, it is so obviously superior to our current system that it is hard for me to worry too much about the nuance of how it might not be 100% perfect 100% of the time. Any (democratic) system is better than what we have now.
Even as your Boeing flight is falling out of the sky, they find a way to fail you one last time.
