“If we determine that an advertiser doesn’t disclose as required,” Meta said in its blog post Wednesday, “we will reject the ad and repeated failure to disclose may result in penalties against the advertiser.”

Now I'm gonna put this blindfold on and you just leave the money on the desk. Make sure you don't break our super serious ad rules that we totally enforce or else the consequences will be super serious and totally enforced!

Ignoring the fact that it’s not even true… My favorite part of the fallout from that quote were all the Trump supporters, most of whom will never see $1mil in total earnings across their lives, scrambling to defend it as if it were a perfectly reasonable thing to say.

Like, “It's just because he’s so rich that a million dollars really does seem like a small loan!

Sure, okay Jim-Bob, and you’re dumb enough to believe a guy whose concept of money is that warped gives a damn about you? lol

I'm talking about default comment sort. You can only change the default sort for your post feed at the account level. Not comments. Apps like voyager and photon allow it, which is why I hope alexandrite will eventually too, but it's not a native setting in lemmy, regardless of what instance you use.

A consumer-rights group in the Netherlands sued Amazon on Wednesday over its alleged practice of tracking website visitors’ online activity, using recently expanded legal provisions allowing class actions.

The lawsuit, filed in a Dutch court by the Stichting Data Bescherming Nederland, or SDBN, said Amazon is violating the European Union’s privacy law by monitoring visitors to popular websites through cookies, the pieces of code that identify individual browsers to create targeted advertisements, without their permission.
