Refresh OS feature in popos has been a game changer for me

[-] UnculturedSwine@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

People are getting way too weird about this post. Sure, the decision seems kinda flippant but sometimes that's how life is. It's also a short comic. I kinda relate as a gay man because when I got married to the love of my life, I felt like it was a permanent decision and I stressed out about it big time. When I talked to my then boyfriend about it, he seemed so unworried about it and made me realize that if we needed to get divorced, it wasn't the end of the world. We respect each other enough to be able to communicate our needs and work things out. People in the comments here making out like divorce is inherently tragic and should be avoided at all costs. The connection that you have with and individual that you love transcends that.

I really don't get some of these comments. I've been using popos on and off since it came out. I would check out gnome extensions to see if anything sticks out to you as being useful for your use case. I would also go into your settings and update your recovery partition. This is also the place to refresh your PC if you need in the future which has been a must-have for me.

I'm at that point as well I think. Thank you for the suggestion!

Google search has enshittified far faster than I ever thought possible. It used to work like magic. Too bad capitalism dictates that usefulness has a ceiling.

I'm that uncle

Edit: I also have that uncle. He's biracial and I'm queer just to give you an idea.

If I dual boot windows, I tend to disconnect my Linux drive any time I do anything on the Windows side. Even installing Windows fresh using default settings, it managed to completely erase my Linux disk to put the Windows bootloader on it even though I selected a completely different disk for the Windows OS. Won't be making that mistake again. And by mistake I mean dual booting Windows. That pile of spaghetti code gets a VM.

Been listening to Lovecraftian stories on YouTube to fall asleep. They're always read in a soothing tone that instantly puts me out.
