Well, that's a new thought. Donating blood is necessary, so we get paid by the Red Cross to do it, in money or a small meal. But the Red Cross then immediately upsells that blood to the hospitals that need it. In a sense, we are exploited workers without a contract.

The real reason donating blood is unethical is because we cannot unionize.

Really not that complicated. If a person who would otherwise vote Democrat instead votes 3rd party, it helps the Republicans. So the Democrat politician says it to that person. Likewise, the Republican says it to those that would otherwise vote Republican. Both parties now claim that it helps the other, but whom it really helps depends on who would otherwise be voted for.

From my outside, proportional representative having-position, 3rd party voting only becomes viable if it is discussed outside of the 6 months before an election. And not in the general "3rd party" term, but with an actual party name attached.

First the unhelpful answer:

I transport groceries with my e-bike and a bike bag on either side of the rack. They may not be quite as fancy as the ones you can unhook and carry into the store and the design is probably from the early 2000s, but they're BIG, so they're great (apart from the fact that they create so much drag that cycling without the motor is an ordeal).

Other than that, I did use a shopping trolley for a while. It was fine enough. Wouldn't recommend to transport cats in those though, you probably need something with tires, not just wheels.

Yeah, I was just pulling your leg. Being a goofy goober. Why would you read this very specific list of games and think I was earnest?

Tomb raider had infinitely many rumours about a nude-cheat because boys were so thirsting about Lara Croft, while Metroid and Shantae reward fast playthroughs with bikini pics.

Man, am I glad I grew up with less horny games. Like Tomb raider, Metroid or Shantae.

The real reason is probably that we said comparable stuff, just as whispers and not written in an anonymous forum. And we weren't even egged on by forum culture or our games to be as horny as possible, the former drives engagement while the ladder drives sales.

There are about 2000 wild tiger left, I found this article from 2011 saying that they might be extinct in the wild by 2030.

So there might be 2000 ecological niches for smilodon to fill in 5 years. We better hurry then.

  • Step 1: acquire genetic material
  • Step 2: supplement material with closely related extant species <- We are here
  • Step 3: Get an egg cell with your Frankenstein-DNA to survive and divide
  • Step 4: Produce a healthy baby
  • Step 5: Get a small population in a Zoo/Park
  • Step 6: have a permanent wild population in a specific area
  • Step 7: have enough of those areas to declare repopulation a success

Is fixating on the mammoths here first-world centrism? The article mentions 4 other species that have way better chances. Also, given how far we are from actual wild mammoths, that "it can solve climate change" argument is just wrong the way it's been presented.

I don't, if that question really is honest. (But also not in the US)

But you really shouldn't be surprised, most people live in major cities.

...do your legs fall off once you've given birth or why is being a mother a factor?

Also, I'm pretty sure most 40 year olds are still able to bike perfectly fine. That's the stereotypical age range for picking up jogging, right?

But they're right, the priority is having a working tram/bus network, and having safe lanes for (e-)bikes as an extension of that system.

By "read the post", I assume they mean "read the 2nd sentence".

The increases range from 20% to 56% in price depending on currency.

Sure, to verify this claim would take a bit more work. But the comment in question was just "14$ is not 50% more".

~~The more appropriate thing to point out is that the increase in US $ is just 16%, anyway.~~

Underhero is a RPG. There is (bad) 2D platforming and an interesting blend between turn based and real time battles with decent amount of player expression, but I find most interesting the writing and scenarios you will find yourself in during the game. You play as an Underling after the Hero has an unfortunate accident after all, and while technically a silent protagonist, all entries in the journal/hint system/to-do list are just brimming with personality.

I swear I first saw this game in list of "Paper Mario-likes", but I can't find a single video with that topic that mentions it, and now I realize that it only has like 600 reviews on steam.

I don't think this is applicable to backyard aquaponics. You don't want to include an anaerobic digestion plant in your backyard project.

Either you have no use for the Bio-Gas, or you use more than 10kg of fish can produce.

Thought about comparing different modes of transport, but realized it would be way too subjective. For example, if 5 km are in biking range is dependent on biking infrastructure, available public transport, how in shape you are...

But then I realized I can just simplify all these things away to get the optimal transportation flowchart. Simple is always better, right?
