Reverse engineering to determine safety is what UL does. If anything here, the charger needs to account for fucked batteries with fail-safes but as long as the batteries are fine, it shouldn't be a problem

Def not UL Listed

Do it with nails. (Most) Nails are made of steel. You likely won't make it anywhere near the MRI bed before they start doing their thing though

It could be that you're drinking 6-10 natty lights and now you're an adult so you don't buy piss water any more.

Everything is generally pointing toward the ASUS TUF OC edition. Any thoughts on that?

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm not cool enough to understand the difference and I definitely won't be maxing it out. Thanks

Looking at a 4070ti or a 4080 to upgrade my dual 1080s from my other post but now I'm not sure which 3rd party model to choose (ASUS TUF, MSI, ZOTAC, Gigabyte...). I'm looking for longevity and not specifically max power if that means a shorter life. Using it mostly for general gaming. Mostly FPS and such.

What's the difference?

Is it just added cooling for boosted performance?

Why does the price change ~$400?

Chances are im either too dumb or don't use any programs that would require overclocking/boosting.

I'm willing to shell out the $ if it's worth it but I have no idea. I may wait until the 50s come out to pull the trigger but that's an issue for later.

My current build with 32gb RAM instead of 16: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/3h4CmG

Would the 3080ti be worth it?

[-] Soap10116@lemm.ee 1 points 11 months ago

Gonna look to sell them or make a tower for a family member who does nothing but stream and shop.

Def a concern. Thanks for the info.

Howdy yall. I'm looking to upgrade my current setup. I had SLI 1080s back when the 1080s came out but now no games support SLI, so I'm essentially down to a single 1080 and I'm struggling to play some new games.

Anyway, looking for a suggestion for a new "future proof" card that is compatible with my setup and if there are significant bottlenecks elsewhere. Im also not too keen on all of the different versions of each card. I assume my i7 needs to be updated as well but I'm not that bright. Willing to spend the $ but don't want something that's unnecessary.

Here's my current setup (I have 32gb memory instead of 16gb) https://pcpartpicker.com/b/3h4CmG

Yes I picked it because of the name Yes I understand I made poor financial decisions in 2016, but hey, it's gotten me this far. Just lookin for help
