I do the same at work just because we don't get an image editor, and PowerPoint can just do some things better than any other tool that I do have at my disposal.

What is the difference between that and simply reboot? Does systemctl reboot have any benefits?

Do carriers still require a new two-year contract when you get a disocunted device from them?

SuiPlay0X1 runs Playtron's device-agnostic gaming operating system, enabling gamers to play both Web3 and Web2 games across PC and mobile.

GamesBeat have some more details, noting it will have "native Sui blockchain integration via zkLogin and Sui Kiosk SDKs, enabling asset ownership directly connected to a device’s account system for the first time in the gaming industry

What is a web3 game? Something that allows you to grind for NFTs?

Sony has a much better [trigger rumbling/tension] implementation in the PS5 controller, nothing outside Sony published games use it though - but it's compatible on Windows with additional drivers (DS4Win) (not sure about Linux here)

It also does not work wirelessly. The controller itself and its basic rumble obviously do, but you will not experience the fancy haptic features unless the controller is connected via USB.

X/Y are also swapped.

Maybe that is an instance-specific feature. I have edited old posts plenty of times over the past year. Edits sometimes do not federate out to every instance properly, but I have never noticed an issue with an edit not applying to the instance the post is on.

I just came across this linked to in the Obtainium README. It is sort of a Ninite-like webpage that allows you to quickly and easily add apps from a curated list into Obtainium on your device. Really useful when setting up a new device or something.

I do wish it was more like Ninite, in that you currently have to tap the "Add to Obtainium" button under each and every individual app that you want go add . I wish this site also allowed you to instead check a checkbox on each app that you want, and then press one button that would add all the checked apps to Obtainium for you.

Lemmyverse historical data? (data.lemmyverse.net)
submitted 5 months ago by SatyrSack@lemmy.one to c/fediverse@lemmy.world

I am interested in checking out the historical growth of a particular community. Lemmy Explorer crawls for data about the Lemmyverse every 24 hours or something, and that data is made available on their website. But I can only find where to download the latest data. Is there somewhere that I can find historical data? Does Lemmy Explorer archive these anywhere, or does it just overwrite the previous data each time it crawls?

Slightly confusing, and not necessarily directly piracy-related. I run OpenVPN on my Netgear router that allows me to connect to devices on my home network while I am away from home. It works great for most devices, but I cannot connect to any devices that are running Mullvad VPN. Disabling Mullvad on those devices allows me to connect. Also, if I SSH into a device that does not run Mullvad, I can use that SSH session to then communicate with those Mullvad devices. Any ideas?
