Not as much, but it breaks down a lot faster than concrete

This is awesome. Might even be really engaging for green-minded students if they are given the opportunity to participate in the greening, or any gardening, or maintenance etc. They should also all install apiaries, and teach beekeeping

Concrete is different from blacktop

Ok, fair point. You can’t rule out myopathy though!

No, I wish the Palestinians would survive, rather than being wiped out by Israel.

Exactly a year ago, September 15, 2023, the plaintiffs and defendants filed motions for summary judgment at a Manhattan federal court. The defendants informed the court that they would rely on a fair use defense, despite Grant’s legal team asserting that discovery had “revealed unequivocally” that the use of Electric Avenue was not transformative.

Yes! Exactly! How do they not understand this simple concept? Their ~~myopathy~~ myopia is honestly a little shocking.

Yep.

I’ve started several replies and then given up because I don’t have the energy to explain the subtleties of what I am suggesting.

I’m from Massachusetts. I don’t think I have ever heard anyone say they were going to Athol for any reason.

I really should. How’s the pay?

Does oracle own the Solaris code now?

I’m clearly doing it wrong because they just don’t seem to believe that they won’t be missing out on their regular programs, many of which they can also access on apps they already have. But they would rather keep watching DirecTV for $120 a month. I’m worn out

A Senior Advisor at Apple Support told me a few minutes ago that if I am wearing the watch the notifications go there and not the phone, and that’s how it was designed and there’s nothing I can do. I’ve had the watch for a good few months now, and I could totally be crazy, but I do NOT remember this fuckery being the case back then. Am I nuts?

This may be a stupid question, I realize.

I use SwiftKey and I hate it, but I haven't found anything better

I had a 2007 GTI, and it is tied for 1st place for my favorite car I have ever owned. That said, what I've picked up from the interwebs is that VW is not longer making quality vehicles, for a number of reasons. Would love some opinions!

I am not familiar with this bronze colored nut that is holding my current Grohë Ladylux kitchen faucet to the counter. Does anyone know the best way to remove this? Thanks very much in advance!

EDIT: I figured it out. You CANT unscrew the bronze colored piece from below. You have to Disassemble the upper part and then there's an internal threaded bit in the upper part that you have to unscrew. The guy in the video whips out some special tool that hasn't been seen or mentioned before in the video and uses it to unscrew the interior threads. I don't have that magical tool, so I just used pliers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRZ1QOinJsE

Linux Switch advice? (sh.itjust.works)

I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on a switch to Linux. Looking for advice and discussion

In terms of hardware, what are some good cost effective resources and what what things might I want to consider differently than what I am used to in both the Mac and Windows worlds? I need smart home management, a plex hub, and photo editing, as well as the usual other stuff.

EDIT: When I say photo editing, I am talking about working with RAW files to optimize the image according to my taste and style. I also make use of software that has good library organization capabilites. In this case, I use CaptureOne. I do not generally do the sort of editing people do in photoshop, putting unicorns in their pictures or whatever people do these days. I'm not opposed to cool creative images or anything, I just don't go down that route terribly often.

Transmission is just giving me more and more problems. Anyone have any recommendations?
