Played this years ago but couldn't quite get into it. Maybe I should try it again to see if it clicks

I love that it has its own Wikipedia article

Even after Automattic acquired it, the site continued to lose money at a rate of $30 million each year, the company’s CEO Matt Mullenweg had said.

I still wanna know what they're spending all that money on, because I'm sure it's not developers or even servers. The idea that they can only be profitable if they're constantly growing their user numbers is an investor idea that's doomed to fail eventually and why so many social media sites are crashing right now

Wait, a solo dev with no experience other than RPG Maker games is making a highly detailed first-person 3D open world tactical strategy RPG with character customization, romance options and branching narratives? Sounds a little too ambitious to be true

Was mostly winging it but tried to stick close to these measurements:

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • between 1/2 to 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • a generous amount of Old Bay
  • parsley
  • lemon juice
  • salt and pepper

Haha, they're under there I swear! I may have been a little generous with the tomato and avocado

Served with a side of parmesan asparagus and the last of our summer limoncello

The recipe itself I believe originally came from Jacques Pépin, but it's easy enough that I can just wing it with the ingredients nowadays

Mmmmm, and on a pretzel bun too

I wasn't sure if I'd be criticized for adding too much cheese but glad to see my fears were overblown and this community has plenty of cheese lovers

Red pepper, onion and fresh herbs round it out. Delicious way to make a pound of shrimp last for several meals

And a nice puffy shot right out of the oven:

I still crave shooters but don't seem to have the time for online multiplayer anymore. I want to try stuff like Ultrakill and Selaco nowadays

Does anyone really want another generic hero shooter though? It's not like we're at a loss for options

Card Crawl/Card Thief/Miracle Merchant are good puzzle-like games

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

This was very much a "to taste" recipe since I didn't really measure anything out exactly, but it included:

  • 1/2 a seedless watermelon, diced
  • 1 block feta
  • 1 shallot, diced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • basil to taste
  • mint to taste
  • olive oil to taste
  • balsamic vinegar to taste
  • sea salt and pepper (to taste)

With how unspecific it was it came out fantastic. I'm actually kicking my past self for not trying it sooner it's so good. Will probably pull this out again for the 4th

Used this recipe for the panna cotta (though I did fudge the numbers on the gelatin and just used the whole packet since there wasn't really enough to save) and this recipe for the raspberry sauce. She uses sour cream in her recipe which I've never heard of, I might try it next time but for right now I just wanted the basic recipe. This was delicious as expected from anything made of heavy cream and smothered in raspberries

Mulberry cobbler (lemmy.world)

Turns out I had a mulberry tree growing near my apartment the whole time. While it would have been nice to have a few more mulberries for the filling, it still came out good with this recipe:

Served with some sparkling rosé. My local store had tails on sale and I had not had them in a while. Never want to go that long again without having them because boy is lobster really good.

This was just a simple recipe of melted butter with garlic, dill, paprika, old bay, salt and pepper brushed over it before and after following this recipe since they also had a video on how to cut the lobster. Though I ended up using my fingers for most of it.

The salad was another easy recipe and we ended up mixing some of the extra goat cheese and lobster drippings together for a delicious cracker topping.

Got some herb meunster bread from the local bakery and dressed it up a bit. Served with a peach mimosa for the perfect brunch for dinner vibe
