Most voters would have liked to see the 'justice system' do anything that resembled working. But imagine if Democrats weren't able to waive their support for away by screaming incoherently about the end of Democracy.

Trump is more vital than ever for the Democratic party to win. They are running on 99% fearmongering and 1% policy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that it had issued the requests, which asked the ICRC to monitor Ukraine’s compliance with international humanitarian law in accordance with the Geneva Conventions, which cover the protection of people caught up in armed conflicts.

“Egypt is naturally the country hardest hit by this dangerous escalation. We are harmed every month by the severe decline in Suez Canal revenue as a result of this escalation.”

The top Egyptian diplomat said halting Israel’s ongoing war on the Gaza Strip is the key to ending the current tension in the Red Sea.

They waited to sue Trump for Jan6 until they were certain the trial would not finish before the elections and now "oh no Trump is running again!'

If they actually saw him as the danger to democracy they pretend he is they would try to win over voters by appealing to voters instead of just turning the trump fearmongering to 2000%

The facility is equipped to hold not only single adults, but also families and unaccompanied children. Those awaiting processing or repatriation to their country of origin are transported in black out vans “with hand restraints and black out goggles to obscure their vision,” according to an ICE contracting document.

According to a U.S. Navy document from 2021, migrants have limited communication with the outside world, with their few phone calls monitored for “restricted information,” including information about the navy base. Private prison ICE contractors are required to have at least 23 unarmed staff members on-site, dressed in “forest green” polo shirts and carrying batons and pepper spray, the ICE document says.

Every sacrafice slowly moves the public opinion needle. There is never a single instance people can point to that instantly changed everyone's mind.

That said, after Aaron Bushnell I doubt self immolation is going to make much of an impact anymore. Direct action such as blocking highways and israeli arms factories are much more effective now.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning to dismiss Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and replace him with Gideon Sa’ar, the leader of the National Right Party, according to Israeli media on Monday.

Disagreements between Netanyahu and Gallant have surfaced over the government’s approach to the growing border escalation with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, Anadolu has reported. Gallant advocates exhausting diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tension, while Netanyahu is pushing for a large-scale military campaign.

Don't think that's the perfect fit either, it's more suited for someone accidentally saying a full sentence admitting their crime. Like Trump accidentally admitting he lost the election.

While israel is condemning their warrant, they are not admitting they are guilty.

They do not want Trump in jail. He is the perfect enemy.

How the Hillary Clinton campaign deliberately "elevated" Donald Trump with its "pied piper" strategy

In its self-described "pied piper" strategy, the Clinton campaign proposed intentionally cultivating extreme right-wing presidential candidates, hoping to turn them into the new "mainstream of the Republican Party" in order to try to increase Clinton's chances of winning.

The memo articulated a three-point strategy. Point 1 called for forcing "all Republican candidates to lock themselves into extreme conservative positions that will hurt them in a general election."

This was the first format that came to my mind when creating this meme but you're right that it doesn't fully fit the scenario. Which format do you think would be a better fit?

Saudi, UAE, Jordan and Egypt are American proxies. Saudi wants nukes against Iran and will sell out to America to receive them.

Israel's Foreign Ministry accidentally released a statement condemning the International Criminal Court (ICC) over arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, despite no such decision being made yet.

The English-language statement was briefly posted on the ministry's website and later removed after circulating on social media.

Israel is known to spy on the ICC and often gains advanced knowledge of pending decisions. This surveillance, part of its broader intelligence strategy, allows Israel to prepare responses and take preemptive actions regarding international legal rulings that may affect its leaders or military personnel.

Russia dupes people into becoming mercenaries. Israel dupes people after they become mercenaries. It's called worlds most moral army for a reason.

To the surprise of nobody Republicans also don't support a voting system that would end the Democrat-Republican duopoly.

[-] Linkerbaan@lemmy.world -2 points 11 hours ago

Democrats would rather get really mad at people who don't want to support Genocide than just stop supporting Genocide.

If Democrats truly believe Trump is the next Hitler you'd think they would try to appeal to voters a little harder. Maybe the Democratic party is not as scared of Trump as their fearmongering suggests.

Israel is recruiting African refugees for "life-threatening" operations in Gaza in exchange for settled status in the country, sources have revealed. There are approximately 30,000 African asylum seekers in Israel. They have faced growing pressure from anti-immigrant politicians, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who regularly refers to them as "infiltrators".

One man interviewed by Haaretz, who ultimately chose not to enlist, recounted being approached by a security official to join the war effort. The official explained that after a two-week training period, he would be deployed alongside other asylum seekers.

Haaretz noted that the "manner in which the Israeli army deploys the asylum seekers is barred from publication" due to restrictions imposed by the Israeli military censor.

After denials for months, the Israeli military says there is a “high probability” its air strike was responsible for the deaths of three Israeli captives in Gaza in November.

The claimed acquisition by Yemen’s Houthi rebels of hypersonic missiles capable of penetrating Israeli air defences threatens to further heighten Middle East tensions, as Saudi Arabia calls for more than “pinprick bombings” to constrain the supply of weapons to the group.

Saudi Arabia, which supports the Yemen government opposing the Houthis, believes Iran has been arming the group, including with the weapons used in the attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea. Those attacks have led to a halving of the traffic on the Red Sea route, pushing up the costs of maritime transport and damaging the Egyptian economy through disruption to the Suez canal.

A long-range ballistic missile fired from Yemen has hit central Israel, sparking fire, according to the Israeli military.

The missile triggered air raid sirens in Tel Aviv and across central Israel, including the Ben Gurion international airport, sending residents running for shelter. There were no reports of casualties or damage, and the airport authority said normal operations resumed shortly after.

Houthis’ Saba news agency said the Israeli defence system could not shoot down the Yemeni missile, which caused a fire. “A Yemeni missile reached Israel after ’20 missiles failed to intercept’ it,” Nasruddin Amer, a Houthi media official, posted on X.

The world’s oldest Jewish newspaper, the Jewish Chronicle, has removed a series of sensational articles relating to the Gaza war after claims that the material was fabricated by a “freelance journalist” who had also misrepresented his résumé.

In recent months, there have been suggestions in the Israeli media that stories have been placed in European newspapers, including one in the German tabloid Bild, that are based on fake or misrepresented intelligence, planted as part of an effort to support prime minister Benjamin’s Netanyahu’s negotiating position over Gaza.

At a 4 September press conference for foreign media, Netanyahu suggested that if the Gaza border area with Egypt known as the Philadelphi Corridor – a sticking point in negotiations between Hamas and Israel for a ceasefire-for-hostages-deal – was not under Israeli military control, then Sinwar could use it to escape, perhaps taking hostages with him.

The following day, an article by Perry in the JC had turned that into reality. The piece claimed that intelligence existed showing that Sinwar planned to escape to Iran with the hostages, derived from the interrogation of a senior Hamas figure and a document found late in August.
