You're right they don't flatten but the brake does have to engage to stop it from behaving similarly to a manual treadmill

One thing I appreciate between BG3 and their Original Sin series is that the latter games felt like turn based Splatoon whereas the former has much less surface spam barrelmancy (though it is still present)

It would only work if it was still a massive privacy invasion. They either feed you ads or sell your data, they're not going to offer a service that can't at least do one of those.

Lots of young folks with time to dedicate to surfing were at the right age where lolrandom was peak humor. They were ripe to receive the shit posts of prodigious animators congregating on Newgrounds and Ebaums etc
