It’s like I get the point of this war but at the same time it’s just something about the music playing in the background like it’s some kind of call of duty montage that makes me feel uneasy about it.

I was in the military too and there are often times where I didn’t agree with certain things but it’s part of the mission.

Idk, it’s just sad and unfortunate all around.

These people have friends and family that I’m sure care about them..

Pikmin 4. My sister surprised me with it for my birthday! Enjoying it so far, and it’s very relaxing to play.

No worries! I was just a little confused when I tried it on my iPhone and it worked.

I was able to uninstall all of the apps you just mentioned on iPhone just to cure my curiosity.

Which Apple device is not letting you uninstall those apps?

Oh I've actually been told by fat people that there's no way that I actually enjoy working out and that I'm forcing myself to go to the gym while not enjoying it.

Guess it's weird I like improving my physique and enjoying seeing how I can reach new goals ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Living in Japan for a couple of years made me this way.

This literally happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I even honked the horn and they just ignored it and kept talking like they were the only ones on the road. Some people are just so oblivious.

I have Linux on my laptop but I have a Windows gaming PC and I'm honestly trying to figure out how could you not get steam to start? Never had an issue with that before..

Seriously, I honestly feel like this is a bad look for Lemmy right now. Like who cares how people enjoy Lemmy? Also, why do people care so much about how others spend their money?

Some of these people don't even realize they are using a closed source app (connect) and have no problem with it, but when price is introduced all of a sudden people are up in arms.

Don't like the price? Continue to use Sync(with ads) or use the other plethora of FOSS alternatives.

Funny enough, I'm getting ready to board a plan soon and I'm using sync 😂

Have you tried Memmy for iOS?

Yes I have! Memmy is a great app and it was the first one to reach the Apple store. The development team consistently pushed out updates pretty much daily and was able to provide the most features of any Lemmy app currently on iOS, at least in my opinion.

My main phone is also an iPhone, but it's just something about sync. Like it's seriously so fluid and it just feels "right" I would highly suggest giving it a try if you have an Android device laying around that can support it.

That's fine. In my opinion, I think that would be more of a valid point if there were no alternatives, but as the original post shows there are plenty of FOSS apps available for those that want that.

I just feel like the developer has took a lot of his time and effort to make this for the community, but instead, some of the community decides to bash him for it due to the pricing model and it not being FOSS.

We're supposed to be building Lemmy as a community but here we are fighting against ourselves internally when there's plenty of options for everyone to use.

Hello all,

I'm in the market for buying a new laptop to install Linux on. I'm trying to stay with something relatively cheap (Around $300 and below). I'm getting ready to start a degree program in cyber security and did some research, and it seems Kali Linux would be the best distro for me to install.

I would install it on my current computer, but I only have a 2015 MacBook Pro, and I've read that a few people run into some issues installing on a Mac compared to a regular PC.

With the above in mind, do I need to increase my budget or does Linux run fine on low-end laptops?

Thanks!
