Is no one else paranoid to put a free usb stick in their computer? I thought that was the classic social engineering hack.

(full disclosure: I'm not in I.T. and my info might be older than the hills)

I like collective. Smaller than commune. More cozy than cohabiting.

It'll just be a bit more scrubby.

Good idea. If one is worried that nat geo would be too upsetting if they're showing "nature taking its course" kind of stuff where the wildebeest doesn't make the river crossing, I offer the alternative streaming channel:

thepetcollective.tv

It's just clips of sweet and/or funny pets, no potentially upsetting things.

well, shit. I did not know that about cats. I'm entering menopause and my hair is thinning. I bought a box but hadn't started using it yet. Guess that's going on the buy nothing group.

edit: I also started taking keratin and biotin supplements. While it hasn't been long enough to notice results in my scalp, my eyelashes are getting long and curly!

That was bad, see? Ew.

Gabrielle finds herself in Norway, runs into Thor's daughter and trains/mentors her in the way of Xena. They fight against the patriarchy, ice giants, crabby elves, and world-eating snakes.

um, the goal is to get the heater going by drawing on the hot supply, right? I've only ever seen cold supply hooked up to a toilet. So emptying and refilling the toilet tank doesn't use up the cooled water in the hot supply line. However, catching cooler shower water in a bucket and using this to manually flush the toilet doesn't waste the water. It is a lot of effort though.

lol, watched that series of videos unfold in real time on The Soup, and am sheepishly realizing there's probably a whole generation of people now that were too young/ not alive yet when that train wreck went down.

I thought i read somewhere that the biggest consumers of glitter are the auto makers because it's in nearly all the paint.

When we drive over train tracks, we have to lift our feet so we won't get caught on the tracks. We'll be mid conversation and then both of us are lifting our feet all silly like.

Note the driver only does this when it's safe to do so. If traffic is slow or stopped on the other side, we're not just going to rear end anyone.
