You can add IPS to port to add some security checking, but yes, in general port is never secure or unsecure.

Yes GPT4o was able to solve this. I didn't.

Everybody knew were the ship was, because at that time star link usage by area was shown publicly. There was map online that showed all clients online.

I have been using Windows for 30 years and Linux for 25 years (debian since 99'). I really would not bash (pun intended) windows users so much, there is place for both of them.

Coral Acceletor is only needed if you run setup that does not have GPU or enough CPU. Spare laptop usually has enough power to handle AI detection, but RasPi doesn't. I run mine in CPU at rack server.

Cameras own detections are limited in my experience, and it is much harder to integrate to anything else, like HomeAssistant for notification & automation

HomeAssistant + Frigate combo is just plain awesome. You can leverage the automations of HA through Frigate's AI detection, so you get things like notifications.

Oh, way worst is "shutdown" instead of "sign out" in Production Windows server.

This can be resolved by building the data centers to cold countries like here in Finland. Servers are very good at converting electricity to heat, and the heat can be used to heat homes.

Microsoft Azure data center in Espoo is going to heat up 60% of the city's district heating network.

Also the electricity here in Finland is one of the cleanest, like in all Nordics (hydro, wind, nuclear)

I really don't mind that they hide the button to enable installs from .APK when they are being directly downloaded. It has been in my opinion very bad idea from the beginning that it shows that, it has enabled multiple malwares in android. Non-technical people should not have easy way to install things, even with big warnings, because people ignore warnings.

If google removes the ability to install non-store apps all together, then that day I will stop using Android.

Business & Industry uses over 75% of electricity in Ireland. Residential energy usage really is not that much, in any country in the world.

Same with CO2, almost all of it is created by industries.

Or it means that the opposite is on Russia payroll. Also both can be true at the same time.

I found from hard way that lemmy community urls are bit problematic. Here is the story, which contains bit NSFW material.

I was trying to figure out in Jerboa how to subscribe to community in another instance. First one that I came across, that i was not subscribed to was !hairypussy@pornlemmy. com. (I know, I know, I am a perv)

I copy pasted the community path to my android clipboard, and tried few ways in the app, and eventually gave up.

Some time passes, until I went to do some shopping. My wife and I use a shared shopping list. From this shopping list I found this beatiful community path.

My wife had a laugh, but I was worried that If she would have been bit more jelous side, she could have made a assumption from the structure of the path.

The thing is that !hairypussy @ pornlemmy. com looks like email address. This could have been misunderstood quuuite badly.

I am a coder also, so @ is sensible separator, and serves the same purpose as in email. Probably it should not change, but the structure can cause misunderstandings with some communities and lemmy instance urls. Of course here main issue is user error, and any link to some bad site can be issue, but people understand what website URL is.

Please let me know if this needs NSFW tag.
