Why bother trying to convince people like you who only complain about Windows, but are way too lazy to do anything about? It's just a waste of my time. I'd much rather gloat about how I don't have to deal with crap like this. Don't come on here and expect sympathy for something that is entirely within your power to change.

You would think that, wouldn't you?

it is already a great tool for programmers. Which means programming anything, including new AI, will only go exponentially faster.

Yes to it being a tool. But right now all it can really do is bog standard stuff. Also have you read about that the use of Github Copilot seems to reduce the quality of code? This means we cannot yet rely on this type of technology. Again, it's a limited tool and that is it. At least for now.

The term AI is a lot more broad than you think.

That is precisely what I dislike. It's kinda like calling those crappy scooter thingies "hoverboards". It's just a marketing term. I simply oppose the use of "AI" for the weak kinds of AI we have right now and I'd prefer "AI" to only refer to strong AI. Though that is of course not within my power to force upon people and most people seem to not care one bit, so eh 🤷🏼‍♂️

That is why they also mirror selfies, so it matches what you see in the mirror.

Wrong. In the books Neville knocks over the shelf with all the time travel gadgets and they are all destroyed. I am not joking.

Ron literally makes fun of Hermione for wanting to free the slaves. But it's all good cause the slaves like being slaves. Imagine writing this into your children's book.

Yeah, the repo shenanigans are something I definitely do not miss from my Ubuntu days. The simplest solution would probably be to look for flatpaks or snap packages instead.

No. Mint is fine for my dad who uses a browser and an email program and nothing else. I'm not gonna recommend it to people who do a lot more with their machines. I can tell them I use Linux and they can ask me anything if they are ever curious about making the switch, but that is it. If they don't make the conscious decision to use Linux, then they won't stick with it anyways.

I just can't stand Kate showing me a little orange bar meaning I have not saved the changes yet. The bar must be green! I am a slave to the green bar. The white dot in vscode (I use an open source build) is a bit more tolerable, but whenever I notice it I HAVE to save the file.
