I agree it's too much, but on the other hand the potential user base for the app is much lower than previously with Reddit. So I can understand it, even if I don't like it.

The developer, TalkLittle, has made another app but it's for Tildes instead of Lemmy or Kbin. It's invite -only so quite low population even compared to Fediverse instances. Plus iirc it's only text. No images, no video, etc

Unlike previous attempts at trying reddit alternatives (like Voat), kbin and much of the lemmyverse doesn’t seem to be plagued with extreme far right buffoonery. in c/RedditMigration@kbin.social
