Damn, nice pull of an older article! This was when I was trying to wrap my head around our evolving political stage, as well as still getting used to many little things that’ve always been here.

Where the red fern grows, tuck everlasting, z for Zachariah; a ton of suffering and death in so many lit books but don’t say it too loudly or they’ll ban them too for teaching folks how to deal with loss and painful endings.
