Hard disagree here, I literally cannot access a cryptocurrency without power but I can absolutely pay cash to buy some water during a power outage.

The only two countries that accept bitcoin as a legal tender are noted powerhouses El Salvador and the Central African Republic… not exactly world leaders.

Tangible items can have utility in the real world, where cryptocurrencies can never be anything more than numbers on a display.

Gold can be used in electronics, and I get that people are mad that currencies are just something we all mutually agree have value, but generally speaking powerful governments back those up. Cryptocurrency is backed up by people promising it’s totally gonna be a real currency any second now. Please ignore that crypto can wildly fluctuate in value which generally a horrible thing for a currency to do.

Crypto is hated because it’s an MLM for terminally online people.

It gains value because people want it and people want it because it gains value is both a perfect description of cryptocurrency and scams.

A great point, Iraq specifically has very good reasons to hate Iran. Combined with their shit stirring within their neighbors borders, and poking the US which of course just invites American military equipment to hang around the area, they are a pretty not great country to have as a neighbor.

Iran’s state religion is a different sect of Islam that stands alone as the only country that follows that branch of Islam. The two branches mutually believe the other branch is turbo-heretics that need to die. Tends to make relations between Iran and other countries nearby a bit tense…

If conservatives had any media literacy, they wouldn’t be conservatives anymore.

I’m fairly certain what you’re experiencing is just how lockdown mode works. It even specifically states in the menu that it’s gonna break some stuff because certain features that apps might need to function are completely disabled. The fix is “don’t use lockdown mode” because you simply cannot work around entire critical feature sets being unavailable on a system level.

To be honest, you probably shouldn’t be using lockdown mode if apps behaving weird is going to bother you. It’s an extreme measure and it says so right when you enable it, it’s not meant for casual use.

That makes sense. More power to the people who want to tether their phones to an Ethernet port, I suppose that would be nice if you’re downloading a large game or something just to speed it up a little bit.

The Lightning port supported this to via a Lightning>USB-A adapter and then plugging in a USB to Ethernet adapter. I tried this as far back as my iPad Air 2 several years ago, this isn’t a new feature at all.
