I think he meant that "cake day" is a redditism

The iisue is having people use the platform. On Lemmy we are getting there :). Also I've seen some niche communities using forums still.

Brother seems to be the last printer brand to be good. At least on the consumer grade. And they seem to last forever

The only ones that seem to last for me have been Logitech, and even then its not even close to the 10 years. Maybe around 3 years, a couple more replacing the switches

It seems that ir doesnt have android auto version.

Since I updated my lineage version all gps apps that i've tried crash on android auto :(

Is there any alternative that works well on android auto?

So, should I stay on the left side of France?

The only problem I see with KDE Connect is that you need to pair the devices. Works great if both are yours, but probably its not something you want leave with the default settings if its shared with someone else.

This is almost what I do, but could you elaborate on how you use digicam for management?

How do you find one?

I see radicale recomended, but in what ways is it better than nextcloud? I moved to nextcloud for calendar due to syncing issues when sharing calendars. So far it seems to be fine, but this question got me wondering about what can be done better.

The only thing I've found that bothers me is that to add someone to the event he needs to also have nextcloud otherwise it gets weird.

Thats great news, i've been using joplin for years without knowing about Joplin server

Hello I've been using cloudflare to get remote access for the couple apps I selfhost, but lately I've been hearing about the wonders of tailscale.

It seems that the free tier is enough for my use. Which would be a safe option to have remote access for my 3D printer? Also how are both in terms of privacy?
