Exactly, it's pointless to stay for the sake of defending rubble. If the position is indefensible, move and set up a new line, ground can be reconquered however lives can't be resurrected.
Also Russia is awful at setting up supply lines. so the further they push in the worse they do
How ironic, considering that's always been their go to defensive tactic. Would be sweet justice if they lost this invasion due to the same.
