tl;dr:

  • likely three Pixel 9 models: one standard Pixel 9 and two Pixel 9 Pro versions (6.7 inch and 6.3 inch screen);
  • leaked renders (see this thread);
  • the standard version will now probably have a telephoto lens too;
  • Tensor G4 chip;
  • Android 15.

I'm not a big fan of the visual design. Those flat edges seem out of place, jarring even. Perhaps it'll appeal to others' aesthetic sensibilities.

I'm also very concerned for the Tensor G4. The article mentions the performance gap is widening. It really needs to pull out ahead in AI capabilities else the SoC will be an increasingly tough pill to swallow.

I really like the design of the new iphones. My favourite phone of all time was the iphone 4 and these new ones are similar but i have the same problem with the pixel render as the new iphones: the camera bump looks horrible on it.
